Busy times here in Wisconsin getting ready for the holiday season.  Roads are quite slick today so it is a good day to stay home.  I do enjoy my time each day when I take time to tangle a bit; thinking right now that I should take time each day to do that.  Yesterday I worked on a new tangle that I am calling Wheelz.  As always when I create what I think is a new tangle, I often wonder if someone hasn't already created it.  This one has similarities to Zander.   I share it with you below.

This is Wheelz.  I really like using Rick and Maria's template for CZT stepouts.

Our ebook has been on the market for a few days now.  And people are buying it.  Wheeee!  Mindfulness in Pen and Ink is available on Apple iBookstore, Barnes and Noble, and Shashwords.  Soon it will be on Amazon.  It can be downloaded to an iPad, a Kindle, a Nook, or a Sony Reader.  We have been having a bit of fun with it and watching the activity with it.

Conversation about Mindfulness in Pen and Ink

On December 9th our ebook Mindfulness in Pen and Ink will be released for download on devices; iPad, Kindle, Nook, Sony Reader, Kobo, and Flipcart.

This book will help anyone get started tangling and enjoying a new art form. For the beginning tangler there are diagrams (step outs) showing how to draw a tangle. For the advancing tangler we have included some ideas of ways to use these tangles in a mindful and creative way.

I have been playing around with quilt patterns, trying to dissect them and then construct a Zentangle pattern from them.  This is the latest one I have been working on.  I call it Kwiltz.   I don't know if anyone has used that name yet.  I have included both a step out (using Rick and Maria's new stepout template for CZTs) and a video.

There are quite a few things you can do with this pattern, both in shading and combining with other patterns.  I'd love to see some of the tangleations you  might come up with.

Notice the Paradox I used in the top right tile below.  It brings to mind Margaret Bremner's tutorial on Paradox.  There are so many different ways you could use Paradox in Kwiltz.  Her tutorial on Paradox can be found on her blog.
